Dr. Pan hold a PhD in computational chemistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a master’s in artificial intelligence from Georgia Tech. Dr. Pan was a Senior Scientist and Director at University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical School. She was previously a Senior Investigator at Global Health Drug Discovery Institute, a non-profit research institute founded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She received the Pandemic Preparedness Award from Merck in 2020.

Dr. Tanik was a professor and holds the Wallace R. Bunn Endowed Chair for Computer Engineering Department. He co-directs UAB’s Integrated Systems Center and co-founded the Society for Design and Process Science (SDPS). He held leadership roles that included directing the Software Systems Engineering Institute at The University of Texas at Austin and the Electronic Enterprise Engineering program at NJIT. His research spans artificial Intelligence, information-theoretic foundations of software, and applications across engineering, medicine, and biology. Dr. Brewer earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics from UT Southwestern and holds dual degrees in Biochemistry and Chemistry from North Carolina State University.
Dr. Sheng Ding is a Professor at the University of California, San Francisco and the Founding Dean and Bayer Distinguished Professor at Tsinghua University’s School of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
